- My home system was manufactured in late spring 1995, just before
- Windows '95 was released. It came with WFWG 3.11 installed, with a
- "freebie" to send for the Win'95 upgrade. I did send for the CD, but
- haven't yet installed it because I am satisfied with the way things run
- now. I have two programs on my system that I also use at work, so it
- would be inconvenient to have to upgrade to the Win '95 versions, and
- those who have tried the patches report limited success.
-
- Seems I have seen 3.11 on the store shelves in the past few months, but
- maybe it's just a matter of MS selling off older inventory and
- discontinuing ordinary retail sales. There's still plenty of technical
- support available for 3.1 and 3.11 users, since not everybody upgraded.
- Maybe there is a previous version of the AOL software that you could
- get upon request.
